Justice was served in a Texas courtroom when Karmelo Anthony was convicted of murdering Austin Metcalf during a high school track meet. Anthony sobbed as the verdict was read and was ultimately sentenced to 35 years in prison.

Karmelo Anthony sobbed Tuesday as he was swiftly convicted of murder in the fatal stabbing of fellow high-school jock Austin Metcalf at a track meet — and his furious supporters raged, “This whole thing’s been racist!”

The jury in Collin County deliberated about three hours before finding Anthony, 19, guilty of first-degree murder in the death of the 17-year-old and must now decide whether to put him away for life — prompting the killer’s weeping mom to later take the witness stand and beg for mercy for her son, according to a report by NBC DFW.

The Metcalf family spoke after the verdict. Austin’s twin brother stood silently beside them, looking absolutely devastated. Austin died in his arms.

Karmelo tried to claim he stabbed Austin in the heart in self-defense, but the jury didn’t buy it. The video evidence and witness testimony told a much different story: Karmelo murdered Austin in cold blood. But many of his wild-eyed supporters were still convinced Karmelo was the “real victim” and should’ve walked free. When that didn’t happen, all hell broke loose outside the courtroom.

One report claims Austin’s grieving twin brother was harassed and mocked as he left the courthouse.

BREAKING: I was just told by Austin Metcalf’s friend that as him and a group of friends left the courthouse today, they were surrounded by a large group of Karmelo Anthony supporters. According to them, members of the crowd shouted, “F*** Austin,” said they would “piss on his grave,” told the teens that they “should be dead with him,” and even spit at them.

Regardless of anyone’s views on the case, no grieving teenager should be subjected to harassment, threats, or degrading treatment while leaving a courthouse.

One local community organizer wants to “dig up” Austin and stab him again.

The crowd was attacking the entire family.

They’re OPENLY calling for MURDER. This was NEVER about self-defense. Some of them just want to see white people murdered in cold blood.

They can’t be reasoned with.

But it wasn’t just white people getting harassed. It was anybody who didn’t support the convicted murderer.

But sadly, from the get-go, the media and the black community tried to make this case about race. But it was never about skin color. It was always about a poorly-raised teen, who lived a “thug-style” life.

It’s clear that a lot of black people don’t understand how the law works.

There was even some strange “tribal dancing” going on.

The media and BLM supporters tried to portray Karmelo like this sweet, innocent kid. That was a lie. This was the real Karmelo Anthony.

And that’s the murderous little thug who Austin Metcalf’s father spoke to after the guilty verdict was read.

This is a sad story. A beautiful young life was snuffed out for no reason. The guilty verdict is justice, but it won’t bring Austin back. This horrible murder has shined an even brighter light on the issues facing the black community and shown that there’s a lot of work to be done when it comes to parenting and understanding the laws of this nation.
