Well, well, well, what do we have here, Mr. Kimmel... - Revolver News

Back in January 2024, Jimmy Kimmel went on a rant after NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers suggested he might be tied to the Epstein list. Kimmel puffed up his chest, threatened to sue, and told America that he and his staff never “make things up” because they have a “team of fact-checkers” who carefully sort through everything before he tells a joke. That was Kimmel’s big defense.

Fast forward to 2025, and the irony couldn’t be more gag-worthy. Just a year later, the same “fact-checking king,” Jimmy Kimmel, stood on national television and lied his pants off about the political assassination of Charlie Kirk. He used the FCC airwaves to tell America that Charlie’s assassin was “MAGA,” when we all know the killer was a radical left-wing extremist living with his trans/furry boyfriend. So much for fact-checkers, right?
Thanks to Jimmy’s lies, he’s been yanked off the airwaves. Now the left, and even some ill-informed do-gooders on the right, are screeching that this is a “First Amendment” issue. It’s not. This is a business matter. Kimmel, whose ratings were already circling the drain, is now a liability for ABC/Disney.

He’s dragged the network into the crosshairs of the FCC for possibly breaking serious regulatory rules, as we covered in a recent story.
What we need to remember is that the First Amendment is not a “get out of jail free” card, especially for broadcasters who have a license to operate on the public airwaves.
The FCC has really strict rules about what can and cannot be said on national television. And when it comes to crimes and catastrophes, the rules are crystal clear: you cannot knowingly spread false information that could cause public harm.
The FCC’s policy on Broadcasting False Information states that a violation occurs when these four conditions line up:
The statement must be false.
The broadcaster must know it’s false or act with reckless disregard for the truth.
It must be reasonably foreseeable that broadcasting it will cause harm.
There must be actual harm or at least the potential for serious harm. So, here’s the question: did Jimmy Kimmel’s smear about Charlie Kirk’s assassination break those specific rules?
Well, that depends on what can be proven.
If Kimmel truly believed, without evidence, that the assassin was MAGA, that might not hit the legal threshold of “knowingly false.” If ABC can argue he was passing along what he believed to be credible information, they may try to skirt responsibility.
But if it can be shown that Kimmel knew this was a lie or acted with reckless disregard, then his statement checks all four boxes.
Even if the FCC doesn’t immediately move in, all of this still matters. Broadcasters live and die by their licenses, and deliberate news distortion is the kind of thing that can come back to bite networks in hearings, renewals, and legal fights. Kimmel didn’t just embarrass himself; he may have put his entire network in the FCC’s crosshairs.
So, what a lot of people are missing here, even many on our side, is that this isn’t a First Amendment issue. This is a business decision.

The Jimmy Kimmel saga takes a dramatic turn…
The really tragic part of all of this is that ghouls like Kimmel think they’re the good guys.

So when you stack everything that’s happened with Charlie’s assassination and Jimmy’s lies against what he said back in January 2024, the hypocrisy is gag-worthy. In January 2024, after Aaron Rodgers suggested Kimmel might be on an Epstein list, Jimmy puffed up his little chest and delivered this gem:
January, 2024. After Aaron Rodgers insinuated that Jimmy Kimmel might be on some Epstein list, Kimmel responded by saying that you can’t just make stuff up about people.
Kimmel: “We don’t make up lies. We have a team of people who work very hard to sift through facts before I make a joke.”
Kimmel threatened to sue Rodgers and then lambasted conservatives for accusing people of being child abusers. It’s funny because Kimmel, the MSM, and most of the democrat party have spent the past four months doing to Trump what Kimmel whined about Rodgers doing to him.

And now here we are…
The same man who swore he doesn’t make up lies and has a team of fact-checkers used national TV to push one of the most reckless lies of all… smearing Charlie Kirk’s assassination on MAGA.
In the end, Jimmy Kimmel exposed the truth about himself. He’s not just a failed, miserable, unfunny “comedian” with tanking ratings; he’s also a liability who dragged his entire network into shame and scandal.
