Newly declassified FBI interview summaries are reigniting explosive allegations that Senator Adam Schiff personally authorized the leaking of classified intelligence at the height of the Trump–Russia investigation — not to protect national security, but to politically sabotage President Donald J. Trump.

According to documents obtained by *Just The News*, an unnamed whistleblower — described as a Democratic intelligence officer who worked for the House Intelligence Committee — told the FBI multiple times between 2017 and 2023 that Schiff green-lit the leaks while serving as the committee’s ranking Democrat, and later as its chairman. The whistleblower said the leaks were specifically designed to advance the false “Russiagate” narrative and damage Trump’s presidency.

The source further alleged that Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) was likely the direct channel for leaking the classified material, acting under Schiff’s direction.

“When working in this capacity, \[redacted staffer’s name] was called to an all-staff meeting by SCHIFF,” one FBI interview memo states. “In this meeting, SCHIFF stated the group would leak classified information which was derogatory to President of the United States DONALD J. TRUMP. SCHIFF stated the information would be used to indict President TRUMP.”

Swalwell has denied any role in such leaks, instead taking aim at FBI Director Kash Patel.

The whistleblower also claimed Schiff had been promised the position of CIA Director if Hillary Clinton won the 2016 election — a role that never materialized after her defeat. Even so, the whistleblower says Schiff pushed forward with a leak campaign intended to undermine Trump from within the halls of Congress.

The source told investigators they personally witnessed Schiff approve classified leaks and formally reported their concerns to the FBI, only to see Justice Department officials show no interest in pursuing an investigation. Shortly after blowing the whistle, they were abruptly terminated.

These allegations align with years of reporting from conservative outlets such as *The Gateway Pundit*, which documented Schiff’s pattern of selective leaks to sympathetic media during the Russia probe.

The scandal gained further traction Monday when investigative journalist Paul Sperry of *RealClearInvestigations* suggested Schiff’s leaks may have been funneled to Washington Post national security reporter Ellen Nakashima. Citing declassified records, Sperry noted Nakashima’s role as a favored contact for high-level intelligence figures, including former CIA Director John Brennan, during the formative years of the Russia hoax.

According to Sperry’s findings, Brennan and other intelligence officials planted at least three major Russia-related stories with Nakashima between 2016 and 2017 — stories that helped entrench the public perception of Trump as compromised by Moscow, a narrative ultimately debunked when Special Counsel Robert Mueller failed to find any evidence of collusion.

Critics say that if Schiff did indeed orchestrate the leaking of classified material to the press, it represents not only a gross abuse of power but also a potential criminal act. Members of the House Intelligence Committee are entrusted with America’s most sensitive secrets — and bound by law to safeguard them from political weaponization.

Schiff’s office has so far declined to comment on the latest revelations. In the past, he has flatly denied leaking classified information, framing the accusations as partisan attempts to “discredit” legitimate oversight of the Trump administration.

But the whistleblower’s account — that the decision to leak wasn’t the work of a rogue staffer, but was explicitly authorized in a full committee meeting led by Schiff — raises the stakes dramatically. If proven true, it would confirm what many conservatives have long suspected: that the so-called Russia investigation was less about protecting the country and more about destroying a president they couldn’t defeat at the ballot box.

Whether these newly exposed allegations lead to formal charges remains to be seen. But one thing is certain — they add to the mounting evidence of how Democrats like Schiff weaponized intelligence for partisan warfare, eroding public trust in America’s most powerful institutions.
