As we head towards the midterms, Democrats — who normally might be in a historically good place as the party out of power — are facing a lot of problems. 

The Democratic National Committee is in debt, while the Republican National Committee is sitting on close to $130 million, plus the Trump PAC has about $400 million. The Democrats even put up their headquarters as collateral to borrow $15 million, which in fundraising terms is a small number, so you know how on the edge they have to be.

Plus, the leaks from the DNC show what turmoil they are in with Ken Martin's tantrums, and people dishing on him, questioning his ability and what's being done.

New: Another Big Issue That Shows How on Edge the DNC Is

On top of that is the extremism on the left. We saw the Democratic Socialists of America National co-chair Megan Romer lay out the unhinged agenda on Fox News Sunday to upend our constitutional order. But Democrats are welcoming them into the party and justifying it by saying "We're a big tent." That's justifiably freaking out normal Americans who realize that doing things like abolishing borders and defunding the Pentagon is crazy. 

One of the few Democrats to call out the craziness has been Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA). He ripped other Democrats for not rejecting this outright.

So that brings us to the numbers and how all the above translates into how people feel about the Democrats.

CNN's Harry Enten just put a pin in the Democrat's hopes for a blue wave this November.

CNN's senior data analyst Harry Enten explained that when it came to the big issue of Iran, Republicans were more trusted in two different polls: "Americans are not buying what Democrats are selling on Iran." Enten said, if anything, Democrats had lost ground on the subject as the action has gone on.

Anchor John Berman then cut to the heart of it, asking how much of this is just that "Americans don't like Democrats in Congress much at all?" 

Enten agreed that was a big part of it. "The Democrat Party in the minds of the American public are weak, weak, weak, to quote the great Tony Blair," he asserted. He explained how the Democrats have just had their three lowest approval numbers on Fox poll numbers on record, including at -39 percent for July.

"The Democrats in Congress, simply put, are not well liked," Enten concluded, saying they were "really hated." 

Berman noted that included Democratic voters unhappy with Democrats as well. Enten finished off the Democrats, saying it would be easier "if they were, you know...liked." 

Bottom line? The only things Democrats push are hating President Donald Trump and radical positions. That's not going to go over well.
