Watch: Joe Biden Announces Memoir - and the Reactions Are Brutal

We previously reported on Jill Biden's book launch. That did not go very well, as the gist of the book seemed to be about trying to convince us that she didn't know about her husband's cognitive problems.

She even managed to get into a battle with former Biden aides.

Then the book itself, after being on The New York Times Best Seller list for about a week (with an asterisk indicating numbers were probably influenced by "bulk sales"), plummeted off the list like a stone almost immediately thereafter.

Now This Is Funny: Jill Biden's Book Sales Are Raising Questions

Joe even interrupted one of her book events, bizarrely calling out to her while he stood in front of the stage and saying that his book would be coming out in September. You have to bet that probably had the Democrats even more upset than Jill's book.

Now it turns out they've pushed his official book release date back to November 17, two weeks after the midterm elections. Funny how that works. Someone does realize how the specter of Joe Biden hurts them.

But they don't completely clear the way by delaying that. Because he's still talking about the book, "Promise Me, America," and it can be pre-ordered. The slurring in his video promoting it is so bad that it's left many questioning how long it took to produce a coherent final cut.

Remember: This is the guy they wanted to sell us for another four years.

His comments are, of course, delusional. He says his four years included "leading the country through COVID, rebuilding our economy, restoring our democracy after the attack on Jan. 6th, ending our nation's longest war in Afghanistan, strengthening NATO, and supporting Ukraine."

Now, there are a lot of things I could say about that statement, but perhaps the funniest thing in there is his claim that he "rebuilt the economy" — when Trump had a very strong economy with very low inflation and a good economy. With COVID, people returned to work after the lockdowns, and Biden seems to want to take credit for that. Indeed, it was Biden who then, through his policies, helped to drive inflation up over 9 percent and drove gas prices through the roof.

Many understandably expressed doubts that Biden wrote the book himself.

White House Deputy Press Secretary Abigail Jackson asked a question many had.

Some had similar thoughts about the author of the book.

A Little, Brown spokesperson said that Biden plans to tour on behalf of the book and give interviews. Oh, that will be something.

So have the popcorn ready, because that could also come right before the midterms, if he tours as people often do before the release.
