Breaking: Second Spot Called in Race for California Governor

There's been a lot of understandable concern about how the elections have been handled in California, with the numbers still being counted almost a week later.

It was particularly concerning when we saw Spencer Pratt, who was in second place in the Los Angeles mayoral primary on Tuesday night. But then ballot drops came in that completely wiped out that lead. Pratt has said he's not going down without a fight, however.
Even President Donald Trump has weighed in on how California elections have been handled.

But now there's some good news on the California front.
Decision Desk Headquarters (DDHQ) has finally called the second spot in the California governor's race. They have declared that Republican candidate Steve Hilton will be advancing to the general election.

Current numbers show Hilton with 1,975,062 votes, while the third person, Democrat Tom Steyer, has 1,759,328. So Hilton is up more than 200,000, with 84 percent reporting. DDHQ appears to have finally decided Steyer wasn't going to catch him.
That's good news for California. It's going to be a challenge come the general election against Hilton's Democrat opponent, former Biden Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra, but Hilton has said Californians are "desperate for a change," and he means to win to help give them that change.
