Here is a string of disturbing incidents across Europe which once again highlights a pattern that is rarely examined honestly.

These are just a small sample of a few recent horrific crimes by Muslim migrants against unbelievers in Europe. But reports like this now flow like a river. Mostly against women, but by no means exclusively.

Three Moroccan brothers were arrested in Mallorca after allegedly beating a woman and dragging her onto a beach in an attempted rape. In the UK, an Uber driver was convicted of killing a dog walker and also found guilty of trying to murder his landlord.

Other cases reported in recent days show similar patterns of sexual and physical violence carried out by Muslim men against women.

These are not isolated crimes. They reflect a coherent worldview rooted in Islamic scripture. A worldview that treats women, particularly non-Muslim women, as objects to be used and disposed of.

The Quran is explicit. In Surah al-Baqarah (2:223), Allah tells Muslim men:

“Your wives are a tilth for you, so go to your tilth when or how you will…”

The Arabic word for tilth refers to a field that is plowed and fertilized. The verse is not poetic. It is a direct command that a man’s wife exists for his sexual use. Classical Islamic scholars understood this to mean that a husband may have sex with his wife in any manner and at any time he desires.

“Those Whom Your Right Hands Possess”

Even more explicit are the repeated Quranic permissions regarding slave girls and concubines. The Quran repeatedly refers to “those whom your right hands possess.” This phrase refers to female slaves, women captured in war or bought whom Muslim men are permitted to rape.

Key verses include Quran 4:24, 23:5-6, 33:50, and 70:29-30. These verses make it clear that Muslim men are allowed sexual access to their wives and to the women they own as slaves, including non-Muslim women taken in conflict.

This is not ancient history. The Islamic State openly used these same verses to justify the mass rape of Yazidi girls. The theological justification remains the same.

Occasionally, one can even hear these justifications in contemporary courts of accused Muslim rapists.

A Small but Recent Sample

The incidents listed above are only a small sample, and not even representative of the volume of these kinds of crimes from the past week. They are not presented as proof that every Muslim man behaves this way. They are presented as evidence that Islamic scripture contains a clear teaching on the status of women and non-Muslims, especially non-Muslim women, that is fundamentally at odds with Western notions of consent, equality before the law, and human dignity.

When religious texts teach men that women are fields to be plowed and that captured infidel women can be taken as sexual property, it should not be shocking when some observant Muslims act accordingly.

This treatment of the unbeliever by Islam is a constant across Islamic history in its dealings with the non-Muslim world, or as Islam refers to us, Dar-Al-Harb, The World of War. It is codified in scripture and well recorded in both Islamic and non-Islamic history.

At a certain point, we either have to say no or face unimaginable hardship.
