The Mega Millions jackpot is nearing $1 billion after the longest-ever run without a six-number win continued in the latest draw, officials said Wednesday.

The estimated jackpot for the next drawing on Friday now stands at $965 million after no ticket matched all six numbers drawn overnight Tuesday. The numbers were 10, 13, 40, 42, 46 and gold Mega Ball 1.

The prize now has a cash value of $445.3 million, according to lottery officials.

There were four Mega Millions jackpot wins earlier this year, but the next drawing will be the 40th since the last win back on June 27 — a game record.

There have only been seven jackpots that have eclipsed $1 billion in the history of the game.

The most recent to reach top the eye-watering level was a $1.2 billion prize won in California last December.

The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 290,472,336, while the odds of winning any Mega Millions prize are 1 in 23.
