A New Jersey woman allegedly confessed to stabbing her baby brother in the chest — and claimed voices told her to do it.

Detectives investigating what happened during the Nov. 1 attack in Brick Township spoke to Marlene Rodriguez’s cousin, who alleged the 20-year-old brought up the topic of human sacrifice, asking the cousin if they’d ever sacrificed anyone.

Soon after, in the same house, the boy’s mom says she could hear him crying, went to his room, and found him with stab wounds and a knife on the floor next to him.

The 2-year-old survived.

He remains in stable condition at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. He’s recovering from a punctured lung and a cut to the wall of his heart, court documents claim.

A probable cause affidavit obtained by The Post claims cops arrived at a home on Burke Avenue at approximately 2:30 p.m. and found the wounded boy, who was still alert and conscious.

After being read her rights twice, Rodriguez told police she stabbed her brother, according to the affidavit.

Back at the police station, Rodriguez allegedly told cops she remembered doing it. She also claimed to hear multiples voices and may have been experiencing hallucinations.

She also replied to a question in Spanish, “to the effect of a third person telling her to stop talking so she doesn’t go to jail.”

Investigators stopped questioning Rodriguez at that time.
