Vance to host White House presser for second time

Vice President JD Vance will stand in for press secretary Karoline Leavitt at the White House press briefing on Thursday, The Hill reported.

Vance last stood in for Leavitt in mid-May as part of a rotating group of administration officials speaking to reporters. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and other Cabinet officials have also briefed reporters.

The vice president's appearance before reporters comes in the wake of the signing of the Iran peace deal to end the conflict. The 14-point plan has drawn criticism from Israeli officials and foreign policy hawks.

Vance is expected to face considerable scrutiny from reporters while at the podium over the terms of the agreement.

Notably, Vance has been at the forefront of the administration's public relations efforts in recent weeks amid his ongoing book tour, which has seen him even enter left-wing venues such as "The View."
