Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., on Wednesday reacted incredulously to President Donald Trump's refusal to sign a bipartisan housing bill until the Senate approved the SAVE America Act.

Trump abruptly canceled a planned signing ceremony at the Capitol, putting forth his demands through Truth Social. House Speaker Mike Johnson has since floated passing the bill via reconciliation to get around the Senate's 60-vote filibuster threshold.

“I just, I don’t have any idea. This just doesn’t make any sense, other than whatever it is he wants to do, it’s a complete indifference to the cost squeeze on American families and to genuine efforts to do something about it,” Warren said on CNBC.

“I’m sorry, if you’re asking me to get into Donald Trump’s head and figure out what’s going on there, you need somebody else,” she went on.
