Florida officials have told vendors they can begin taking down tents, fences, trailers and other structures at an immigration detention facility in the Everglades that's been called "Alligator Alcatraz."
Vendors were told that they should have made significant progress on the work by Wednesday, the New York Times reported, citing unnamed sources.
The Department of Homeland Security has previously said that detainees at the facility had been transferred out of the facility, citing the coming of hurricane season, to other locations.
