Wyndham Clark holds on, barely, to win second U.S. Open

Wyndham Clark nearly squandered a commanding lead but held off a hard-charging Sam Burns on Sunday to win his second U.S. Open golf title in four years.
Clark nearly suffered one of the biggest collapses in Open history at Shinnecock Hills, losing six strokes on the final day.
But he did just enough down the stretch to capture a tournament that he led from start to finish.
Burns shot 3-under par in a sizzling final round to make it interesting but had a setback on hole 15.
Clark, who won the Open in 2023 as well, became the first golfer in decades to lead the tournament from start to finish.
