The consolidation of airlines into a cartel was a bipartisan approved process. Of course, 9/11 was the 21st century shock, but did it have to be the case and does this status quo deserve to continue? The consumer was sacrificed for supposed stability in the broader economy. Lastly, are airports, their tech and the experience, the perfect symbol for the American Empire?
