There’s Trump Tower, Trump National Golf Club, Trump International Hotel and Trump Park Avenue. Now, a Trump stadium may be on the horizon.

Multiple sources have told ESPN that President Donald Trump wants the Washington Commanders to name a planned $3.7 billion stadium after him.

“That would be a beautiful name, as it was President Trump who made the rebuilding of the new stadium possible,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told ESPN on Friday night.

A senior White House source told ESPN: “It’s what the president wants, and it will probably happen.”

That source said there has been communication with a member of the Commanders’ ownership group. That group is led by Josh Harris

The new stadium will be on the sure of the old RFK Stadium site where the team played from 1961 to 1996. It is due to open in 2030.

A spokesperson for the Commanders declined to comment on the situation Saturday.

Trump is expected to attend Sunday’s game when the Commanders play the Detroit Lions at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland.

American veterans are will be honored at halftime.

A team source said there have been no formal conversations to date about the naming.

The naming rights are owned by the Commanders and could sell them to a corporate sponsor. A source with knowledge of the process said that would be a separate decision than naming the stadium after someone.

The Commanders would not name the stadium.

“The team doesn’t have the authority. They can’t name the stadium … on their own,” the source said. “The city would be involved in that decision, and the Park Service would be involved.”

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser and Harris announced in April the Commanders’ new stadium would be built in Washington.

In July, Trump noted he would block construction of the stadium if Harris did not change the team name from Commanders back to the Redskins.

The name was changed because Redskins considered offensive to Native Americans.

The Commanders currently play at Northwest Stadium in Landover, about nine miles from the former RFK Stadium.

Several took to X to express their feelings on the possibility of Trump Stadium. Many were not complimentary.
