Rob Reiner: ‘I Think My Own Son Can Hurt Me’, Source Says

Famed actor and director Rob Reiner was concerned his son could hurt him.
“I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but I’m afraid of my son. I think my own son can hurt me,” he allegedly said hours before Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were allegedly stabbed to death by their son, Nick, on Dec. 14, Page Six reported.
The Reiners were attending a holiday party at comedian Conan O’Brien’s Los Angeles home Dec. 13 where people have reported Nick Reiner was acting strangely.
“Nick was freaking everyone out, acting crazy, kept asking people if they were famous,” one insider told People magazine.
At that same party, Rob Reiner and his son got I to a heated argument that left onlookers wanting to call 911.
“They got in an argument, the father and son,” one source said. “It got so bad and loud [that] someone wanted to call the police to report it.”
But O’Brien stopped the calls from being made.
“But Conan stepped in and said, ‘It’s my house, my party, I’m not calling the police.’ He talked them out of calling the police,” the source said.

A second source said guests were concerned about Nick Reiner belived he might need to be put on a psychiatric hold.
“When the s*** was hitting the fan, somebody said, ‘We need to call the police.’ The conversation was about getting this kid put into a mental-health hold,” the source said. “It makes sense; who wants the cops showing up creating a scene? But the argument between Rob and Nick was pretty intense.”
The Reiners’ daughter, Romy Reiner, found here parents’ bodies.
The couple were reportedly stabbed to death and had their throats slashed, per the Daily Mail.
Nick Reiner, 32, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and is on suicide watch.
The younger Reiner was reportedly diagnosed with schizophrenia just weeks before. He was given a new medication, which made him “erratic and dangerous.”
TMZ reported the new meds drove him “out of his head.”
