Heather Locklear is opening up about a new chapter in her personal life, confirming her relationship with Lorenzo Lamas and describing it as one of the happiest periods she has experienced.

According to Fox News, during an appearance on the “Hollywood & Divine” podcast, the actress spoke publicly about Lamas for the first time, referring to him as her “new boyfriend” while reflecting on faith and gratitude.

Locklear said her feelings for Lamas are closely connected to her spiritual beliefs.

“My new guy is very … everything,” Locklear said. “I’m just like, when I tell this person I love him, I’m really saying, ‘I love you, God.’ Because that’s what happened. It’s from God.”

The actress also shared how fulfilled she feels at this stage of her life.

“I’m [in] the best time [of my life],” she added.

The couple made their first public appearance together on April 26 at the Chiller Theatre Expo, signaling that their relationship had become official.

Lamas later spoke about the romance in an interview with Fox News Digital, admitting he never expected their connection would develop decades after they first met.

“The short answer is no,” Lamas said when asked whether he imagined they would eventually become a couple. “I mean, I’ve been through a lot of trial and error, and she is the most amazing woman that I think I’ve ever met.”

Their history stretches back more than 40 years.

Locklear was starring on “Dynasty” and Lamas was appearing on “Falcon Crest” when they first crossed paths in the early 1980s.

The two became widely known for posing together for a 1983 cover of Playgirl magazine, featuring Locklear in a bikini and Lamas in a Speedo.

Both have experienced high-profile relationships over the years.

Locklear was married to Tommy Lee from 1986 to 1993. She later married Richie Sambora in 1994 before the couple split in 2004. Locklear and Sambora share a daughter, Ava.

Last year, Locklear ended her five-year relationship and engagement to Chris Heisser. In a 2021 interview with People, she indicated that marriage was no longer a major priority in her life.

More recently, Locklear and Lamas appeared together at another significant family event. Last month, she brought him as her guest to her daughter’s wedding in Montecito, California.

Now, after decades of knowing each other, Locklear and Lamas appear to be embracing a relationship that neither saw coming, with both speaking positively about the unexpected romance.
