Trump Plane Lands First at Airport That Bears His Name
Trump Force One was the first aircraft to land at President Donald J. Trump International Airport when it officially opened under its new name Thursday.
The symbolism was not lost on Eric Trump.
Trump Force One was the first aircraft to land at President Donald J. Trump International Airport when it officially opened under its new name Thursday.
"There's no way in hell I was letting UPS be the first plane to land, so we got on Trump Force One... we touched down at exactly 5:01 a.m. this morning, and it was a beautiful day," he told "Fox & Friends."
"I don't think there's anybody more synonymous with Palm Beach than Donald Trump,” the president’s son continued.

The hub was formerly known as Palm Beach International Airport for nearly half a century before the change.
The new name was linked to the president's deep ties to the area, including his repeated presence at the Airport and his Mar-a-Lago estate, which is located a few miles away.

The president's son also said that choosing Trump Force One for debut was no coincidence.
"This is the plane that carried him to victory... It was the backdrop of so many of the presidential campaign stops," he said. "There's so many stops with us as a family, so it was an incredibly special moment for us this morning."
The inaugural flight marked the culmination of a law signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis earlier this year, which officially changed the name from Palm Beach International Airport to President Donald J. Trump International Airport.
Eric Trump also said the moment was a fitting tribute to his father's legacy.
"It's just a special moment. He's a man that deserves it. He's the man that's done so much for this country," he said.
"He's fought like hell for all of us and, as a son who worked so hard to make this happen, I couldn't be more proud. Today was a really, really special moment."
