Long before President Donald Trump entered politics, Actress Candice Bergen says the two went on a brief date while they were both college-aged.

According to Fox News, the 80-year-old Actress shared the story during a recent appearance on Ted Danson's podcast, "Where Everybody Knows Your Name," where she reflected on meeting several well-known figures earlier in her life, including Trump and former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.

Bergen described her outing with Trump as a "very short date," recalling that he arrived in a maroon limousine wearing a matching maroon suit, vest and patent leather boots.

Podcast host Ted Danson joked that he had heard Bergen once say she "was home by 9."

"Yeah, it was short," Bergen replied with a smile.

The Actress has spoken publicly about the date before.

During a 2018 appearance on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," Bergen said she was about 18 years old and attending the University of Pennsylvania when the date took place.

"I was about 18," she said at the time. "Trump and I are about the same age. Or as he would point out, I'm about six months older."

A year earlier, Bergen discussed the experience on Harry Connick Jr.'s daytime program, describing Trump as "a nice-looking guy."

"I mean, he was. And I was in college, and it's where he was going to be going to college," she said. "It was like a blind date. He called me in the dorm. I was bored."

Trump has also previously commented on the date.

In remarks to the Boston Globe, Trump recalled Bergen's popularity at the time and said, "She was so beautiful. She was dating guys from Paris, France, who were 35 years old, the whole thing. I did make the move. And I must say she had the good sense to say, 'Absolutely not.'"

Bergen also reflected on spending time with Kissinger after meeting him through her parents.

She told Danson that Kissinger once picked her up for dinner at Bob Evans' home and described him as an enjoyable companion.

"Henry was great company, and he was smart, beyond smart, and had great manners," Bergen said. "He was lovely company."

When Bergen revisited both stories during her 2018 appearance on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," she was asked which outing she preferred.

Her answer was simple: Kissinger was the "better" date.
