Okay, this is a lenghty and weepy bravura performance, and frankly, given the ego on display (hopefully for the last time), I really, REALLY did not expect this to happen. But if it did, I figured it would be a last-second pullout.

Platner held all the cards, and he threw them in early. 

He's stupid, but he's not that kind of stupid.

His friends are as scummy as he is, but hey - Democrats.

But this did surprise me, and it makes my cynical self wonder what sort of largesse, either lucre and/or promises, has been passed around here?

Shoot - it's hilarious. Fetterman is flaming him on Fox right now, and I'll get you the video the second I can.

'The trash took itself out...No one wants you anymore....Gives this weird long speech and pretend people aren't going to forget you....You will only be remembered as the accused rapist who got kicked out...That's your legacy, bro. Crawl back under that rock you came out from.'

He has a message for the Democrat leadership, too - 

'...Why did you go in on this trashbag?...Bernie Sanders needs to apologize to everyone who donated to this dirtbag communist. He keeps pushing these communists...'

Anyhoo, the search goes on, as does a debate about how to delicately not pick another P-Hustle loser hosebag while still trying not to completely incense the communist base, who are going to be incandescent over losing their poster boy. Does the state party pretend to hold a mini-primary? Do they dare anoint someone?

This is going to be a poopshow of epic proportions.

God forbid I am ever as sorely stricken as John Fetterman was. I will pray with every fiber of my being to reemerge this strong and sound in mind and conviction.

Interestingly enough, Fetterman was on CBS earlier and asked about the replacement cycle if Platner dropped out. He pulled no punches again.

 ...when it comes to selecting a possible replacement if Platner drops out of the Maine Senate race. 
“I remain fascinated with the left, just quickly just got all in for this total dirt bag,” Fetterman told CBS News’ Major Garrett.
