Spanberger: 'Let Your Rage Fuel You'

Abigail Spanberger is, supposedly, a moderate Democrat. 

Sure, she's liberal enough, but no AOC, right? Northern Virginia may be very liberal--it is filled mostly with people who work for or live off the government and are making bank doing so.

But no radical can win in the state--after all, most of the rest of the state is center-right. 

Yeah, well, not so much. In the midst of a leftist violence spree that has left a number of people dead and injured, and after years of left-wing violence erupting into riots that got applause from the Democratic Party establishment, she is preaching "rage."

Over the past few weeks, the former CIA agent and Congresswoman has made a number of interesting moves, either hinting that she holds very left-wing positions or outright endorsing radical policies. 

Now she is preaching "rage."

Charlie Kirk was murdered. A radical left-wing activist gunned down migrants at ICE facilities. Antifa attacks on ICE, attempting to assassinate ICE agents. A wave of leftists is making lists of conservatives to be assassinated. 

And Spanberger's message is simple: let your rage fuel your political activism. 

Rage is definitely the Democrats' theme, and for all the "I don't approve of violence, but..." talk, the message itself is much simpler: commit violence. 

Notice that Spanberger doesn't go on political TV shows to spread this message; it comes out when she is giving her stump speech to Democratic Party audiences that get captured on cell phone videos that mainly get shared with liberals online. It's a targeted message, because she needs those votes from centrist voters who don't particularly care for violent rhetoric and who want to believe that their anti-Trump votes are based mainly on a desire for less confrontational politics. 

That's actually a fairly large voting bloc--people who think that they would never support anybody who incites violence. They want "nice" in politics, and Spanberger looks like a middle-aged mom.

Spanberger isn't running on radical issues--she dances around when asked about letting boys ogle teens in locker rooms, even though that is a massive issue in Virginia. She supports it, of course, but won't exactly say so. She will come close enough to the line to satisfy her voters, and stay far enough away to give comfort to those who don't. 

You'll notice that she pivots to inflation--which didn't exist under Biden, according to Democrats--when she is talking for the cameras. It is safe ground, and a signal that Spanberger is no left-wing warrior. She is your run-of-the-mill moderate Democrat, you know.

But when talking to her people? She is Emperor Palpatine. 

We have to understand that Democrats have a serious problem. Their leftist base desperately wants "fighters," and the reason why Democrats are so far underwater with the populace is that their base is furious. They literally want blood in the streets, and have been telling their representatives precisely that. 

What does one do when your voting base says "there needs to be blood?" Obviously, you can't just SAY go out and kill Republicans," but you can walk up to the line. When Luigi Mangione shoots a health care executive, you condemn his methods but endorse his message. That is close enough, right?

Well, maybe not. Instead, encourage the "rage" that got Brian Thompson, Charlie Kirk, and others killed. 

One out of four very left-wing voters--the kind of people who show up at political rallies--openly say they want political violence. Over half of Democrats will openly say that assassinating Trump would be justified. "Rage" is what these people want, and "rage" is what Spanberger is delivering to them.

There's a very good chance that Spanberger will win this race, because centrist voters refuse to see what is staring them in the face: "rage" is the product Democrats are selling, and radical policies are what they will deliver. 

These are the same people who will tell you that Kathy Hochul is a moderate as she endorses Zohran Mamdani. They hate Trump because they believe he is intemperate and mean, so they vote for people who will literally incite murder, if only with a wink. And when things go off the rails, they will blame Trump's rhetoric. 

Go figure.
