Senator John Cornyn’s communications director, Matt Mackowiak, is under growing scrutiny after conservative activists — including Laura Loomer — accused him of paying a Florida sex worker.

The allegations first surfaced last year through Current Revolt, which published screenshots showing payments from Mackowiak to a woman named Yuliet Cabrera labeled “Front lawn project” and “Deck project.” Mackowiak confirmed the payments were real but claimed they were acts of financial support.

“I was providing short‑term financial support to someone I was dating for three months while I was single,” Mackowiak told Current Revolt.

Loomer and others have since reignited the controversy, accusing Mackowiak of trying to conceal a connection to an escort arrested in a Palm Beach sex-trafficking sting. Loomer wrote on X that Mackowiak is “denying knowing a Busty Latina woman named Yuliet Cabrera,” one of two women allegedly offering $2,000-a-night services that included cocaine.

Loomer also accused Mackowiak of being “anti-Trump,” suggesting his credibility is undermined by the alleged scandal.

Prominent conservative groups have weighed in. The True Texas Project posted on X that Mackowiak is a “human sack of crap” and a “swamp rat” for supporting high-profile Republicans while allegedly engaging in misconduct.

Kenneth Webster commented on X, “So you don’t know the woman on the left who was arrested … but didn’t you already admit you made payments to the woman on the right via Venmo? Gotta admit, Matt … they sure do look alike.”

The Dallas Express reached out to Senator Cornyn’s re‑election campaign for comment but did not receive a response.
