REPORT: Trump Reveals Contingency Plan In Event Of Assassination By Iran
President Donald Trump said he has a contingency plan in place should he be assassinated by Iran, and it involves “bomb[ing] them at levels that they’ve never seen before,” he told the New York Post on Friday.
Trump said he has “left instructions” for members of his administration to aggressively bomb Iran should he be assassinated, according to the New York Post. Trump also said Iran has targeted him “for a long time,” adding, “I hope you’ll miss me.”
Trump’s comments follow alleged Israeli intelligence shared with the U.S. about a new suspected plot by Iran to kill him, according to CNN. The details of the alleged plot were neither clear nor vetted by the U.S., two sources familiar with the matter said. The U.S. had not been tracking the alleged plot ahead of the Israeli intelligence.

Trump responded to the alleged plot while speaking with the New York Post.
“No, no. Israel came up with nothing. No, no,” he said. “I’ve been No. 1 [on Iran’s kill list] for a long time, and it’s the way life is, you know.” (RELATED: Ivanka Trump Reportedly Targeted For Assassination By Foreign Agent)
Iranians threatened the president, holding a banner reading, “WE WILL KILL TRUMP,” during the burial processions for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, according to a report from the New York Post on July 9. In 2021, Khamenei appeared to threaten Trump’s life by reposting an image calling for “vengeance” on X. In addition, Iran threatened revenge against Trump if he was not put on trial for killing General Qassem Soleimani on the second anniversary of Soleimani’s death, Reuters reported in January 2022.
Trump has vowed to attack Iran if the country continues to strike the Strait of Hormuz, according to the New York Post. The operation has reportedly been dubbed “Operation B**** Slap” by the president’s advisors.
“He still wants this thing to be over. But if Iran is shooting at ships, he’s not just gonna sit there and do nothing,” a source close to the White House told the New York Post. While returning from a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) summit Wednesday in Turkey, Trump said the U.S. would win its war with Iran “very quickly.”
On Friday, Trump said the ceasefire with Iran was over, and the U.S. would keep negotiating an end to the war, CBS News reported. The U.S. struck 90 Iranian military targets, prompting Iran to threaten retaliation, according to Fox News.
