'Folks Are Frustrated' — JD Vance Addresses Fractured GOP In Megyn Kelly Sit-Down

Vice President JD Vance discussed the divide on the right on SiriusXM’s “The Megyn Kelly Show” on Tuesday, stemming from the administration’s war on Iran.
He said that those discouraged with any of the administration’s positions should only be determined to get more involved instead of giving up entirely. (RELATED: Vance Crosses Into Enemy Territory On ‘The View’)
Kelly described a “civil war over on the conservative team” since the start of the war, saying that many noninterventionist supporters of President Donald Trump feel that they have been betrayed by his decision to begin strikes on a nation on the other side of the world.
Vance said that he would point those critics to consider “all how this has led to a good place for the United States of America,” suggesting that the best argument for it is that Iran’s nuclear program and its conventional military have been destroyed.
However, Vance also acknowledged the criticisms of the administration’s actions, noting that “folks are frustrated” for both the “temporary rise in energy prices that’s already coming down substantially” and a large portion of the right’s frustration with the role that Israel has in the conflict.
“I think you can make the best argument that where we are right now is a good place for the United States of America,” Vance said. “The second argument I’d make is this: Even if you disagree with this particular action, it’s completely ridiculous to pick up your marbles and go home. That’s not how politics works.”
Vance said that although they have struck an as-yet-unseen, “very good deal for the American people,” they need the dissenting right to pragmatically push back “from inside the tent” instead of distancing themselves from Trump and, thus, the decision-making altogether.
Kelly responded, saying that “some of us push back and then we’re told, and I quote, ‘Those who speak ill of Mark Levin are not MAGA,'” referring to a statement by Trump.
Vance laughed in response, adding that Trump pushed back at criticism from Kelly that he thought had been unfair.
Vance also told Kelly that he had told Trump that he planned to go on Kelly’s show to “defend the administration’s policies.”
“‘Absolutely. I love that,’ was Trump’s response,” Vance said.
Vance had also faced criticism from the MAGA right Monday after news came out that he would be speaking on Kelly’s show despite her criticism of Trump.
Bizarre.
Why would our Vice President go on Megyn Kelly’s show?
Megyn Kelly @megynkelly is constantly bashing President Trump @POTUS and she recently said MAGA is dead and that Trump is “losing his mind”.
I find this to be insane.

Trump mega supporter Laura Loomer said that she found Vance’s decision to join the show to be “bizarre,” citing Kelly’s support of attacks on Erika Kirk and claims that Trump is owned by Israel.
“She is incredibly subversive and anti-Trump. That’s why President Trump disavowed her. This is terrible optics. Just terrible. I cannot believe this is real,” Loomer continued. “Wow. Whoever told our VP this was a good idea is leading him astray.”
Vance picked up where he left off, saying that although Trump may be direct in his criticisms, it shows that he is directly involved in these debates.
“You disagree with the president on this particular policy, that doesn’t mean you can give up on the entire enterprise,” Vance said.
He said that the reason the neocons keep winning against the noninterventionists in foreign policy is that they don’t get discouraged and keep playing the political game instead of thinking, “The president did something I didn’t like, so I’m out.”
Kelly agreed, saying that many people have lost hope and have disengaged from the political system entirely. (RELATED: JD Vance Has Two Words For Americans Facing High Gas Prices As Iran Peace Deal Looms)
“And I have been trying to make the point that you can’t do that,” she said.
