Nine victims have been transported to a local hospital, with five determined to be stable while four others were receiving surgery, according to the outlet, who cited hospital officials. Initial law enforcement information suggests the shooting stemmed from a Wednesday traffic stop when police attempted to pull over a vehicle, but the driver allegedly fired on officers and took off.
Law enforcement said the suspect had been hiding since and then began firing upon citizens Friday when officers attempted to take him into custody.
Police have not released the identity of the gunman, according to FOX 7.
