One Celebrity Finally Stood Up For The Iranian People
English singer Yungblud made waves Jan. 13 by delivering a fiery onstage defense of the Iranian people during his Melbourne, Australia, performance.
The famous singer stood shirtless in front of the microphone and commanded the crowd with his message on behalf of the Iranians protesting against the Islamic government.
“Two years ago, I spoke about a girl named Mahsa Amini from Iran who was murdered for not wearing her hijab,” Yungblud said. “And it is not my prerogative to questions somebody’s religion but this community fights for equality and liberation throughout the fucking world.”
Yungblud continued addressing his devoted fans with his passionate plea for the Iranian people.
“What is going on in Iran, this revolution is led by the fucking women — and for four days they have had their internet cut off, they have had their electricity cut off, they are in darkness,” he shouted.
“They are asking for our voice. We have to be their fucking light right now!” he yelled passionately from the stage.
Yungblud issued a call to action, asking his fans to rally their support and lend their voices.
“So speak! Shout! Post! Because they are fighting for freedom,” he said.
