Fans tuning into “Landman” got more than they bargained for when Billy Bob Thornton appeared fully nude in a scene.

Sunday’s edition of the series quickly became one of the most talked-about. While Thornton is no stranger to bold, boundary-pushing roles, the unexpected full-frontal scene still managed to catch many viewers off guard. Some fans expressed shock and others leaned into humor as clips and commentary spread across social media.

Character Tommy Norris, played by Billy Bob Thornton, unexpectedly flashed full frontal nudity in a scene that involved him going rogue with erectile dysfunction pills. Thornton’s character awoke in a hotel room as a female worker set up his breakfast, and she let out a scream when she saw he was nude from the waist down, Fox News reported.

The hotel employee begged him not to sexually assault her, just as leading character Angela (Ali Larter) emerged from the bathroom, shouting, “Put your d*ck away!”

Larter’s character says, “Don’t be scared, darling. That wasn’t about you. He eats Cialis like M&Ms, runs into door jambs all morning with that thing. So sorry about that!”

Even fans that are familiar with Thornton’s long-standing commitment to unfiltered, character-driven storytelling weren’t ready for this one.

Regardless of what people thought of the nude scene, Thornton’s performance has already ensured the series won’t be easily forgotten.
