A teenager was charged Thursday with gang assault after he allegedly beat a couple during a rowdy car meetup in Malba, New York on Nov. 23, police said.

In addition to the two counts of gang assault, Justin Aguilera, 19, has also been charged with four counts of assault, one count of riot, and one count of trespassing, a spokesperson for the New York Police Department (NYPD)’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information told the Daily Caller in an email. The arrest occurred at 6:00 p.m. Thursday within the confines of the 109th Precinct, according to the same spokesperson.

The rowdy car meetup took place around 12:30 a.m. on Nov. 23 when a group of drivers performed donuts on South Drive and 141st Street, the New York Post reported. Blake Ferrer and his wife were allegedly assaulted during the incident after he told the drivers to leave his property. Ferrer suffered broken bones and was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital as a result of the attack.

In a video shared on X by Republican New York City Councilwoman Vickie Paladino, a couple can be seen interacting with a group of individuals on their lawn. The man holds a baseball bat, while the woman makes a phone call before they appear to be attacked. Police have described Aguilera as one of the principal assailants. Police are still looking for three other individuals who allegedly participated in the incident, according to Gothamist. Aguilera was scheduled to be arraigned Friday, the outlet reported.

Following the alleged attack, two suspects fled the scene, heading southbound on the Whitestone Expressway in a white Chevy Silverado, police said.
