A driver in Virginia came to a complete stop after spotting a mysterious UFO flying in broad daylight.

Submitted to the National UFO Reporting Center, the sighting took place Sunday morning as the motorist was making their way through Midlothian. (RELATED: Three, Maybe Four UFOs Caught On Camera In Mexico)

“I happened to notice a shiny object in the sky,” said the witness, per Coast to Coast AM. “At first, briefly ignoring it, I quickly did a double-take and realized it did not appear to be an animal, aircraft or anything else that I would commonly observe.”

The UFO‘s movement was interesting to the driver as it wasn’t like any “other airborne objects” they had seen before, especially when compared to planes, drones and balloons.

The witness was so curious that they “quickly pulled over” in order to get a better sight of the UFO that was seemingly a sphere or cube, and appeared to be metallic, depending on the view of the object.

The driver also caught the encounter on their cell phone camera, providing footage to pair with their account.

To make the situation more interesting, the motorist pulled up a flight tracking app to see if he could identify the UFO, but there wasn’t anything in the area to explain it.
