Holy hell, how much worse can things get?
Because things just ratcheted up once again for head coach Bill Belichick and his North Carolina Tar Heels football program.
According to The Athletic, UNC cornerbacks coach Armond Hawkins has received a suspension after being connected to allegations of extra benefits that were first brought up in a report from WRAL regarding North Carolina‘s dysfunctional ways. The accusations of NCAA violations feature sideline passes that Hawkins handed out to family members of a player.
Hawkins became a part of the Tar Heels staff earlier in 2025 after he was employed at the University of Washington as a secondary coach and recruiting analyst. There, he worked with the son of Belichick, Steve, who is the defensive coordinator of North Carolina.

Man, I can’t even point and laugh at Bill Belichick anymore, this is just becoming sad. I admit, this whole Belichick x UNC saga has been entertaining to pay attention to, the amount of ish talking and jokes that I’ve cracked throughout … oh man.
But now we’re at the point where this man’s legacy is being destroyed, and whether you hate him or not, six rings doesn’t deserve that.
