We’ve got months to go before we get to WrestleMania 42, which will be held in Las Vegas, but you know how the WWE is … they move quickly. So with that being the case, we’ve already got our eyes on 2027 for WrestleMania 43, and unfortunately, the sports entertainment giant is making the move to hold the Premium Live Event (PLE) outside of North America for the first time.

Joined by Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority HE head Turki Alalshikh, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque made the announcement Thursday that Riyadh, Saudi Arabia will be hosting WrestleMania 43. “WrestleMania is already the biggest date on the wrestling calendar and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE,” said Alalshikh in an official statement. “We deeply respect the legacy of WrestleMania and the global prestige it holds among wrestling fans around the world. As part of Riyadh Season in 2027, our vision is to elevate this iconic event to unprecedented heights and deliver a WrestleMania unlike anything the world has ever seen.”

In their 10-year contract to hold WWE PLEs, the General Entertainment Authority has invested hundreds of millions of dollars.

The WWE should be ashamed of themselves. If they want to hold PLEs like Crown Jewel or King and Queen of the Ring in Saudi Arabia like they usually do, then hey, do your thing. But WrestleMania? An American gem?
