Elizabeth Warren Can't Help Herself, Invokes January 6th In Aftermath Of Charlie Kirk's Assassination

Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren invoked the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot on Wednesday in response to the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.
Kirk died from a gunshot wound to the throat during a Q & A session at Utah Valley University, sparking mourning among conservatives across the U.S. In exclusive footage from the Daily Caller News Foundation, Warren disputed that the political left is responsible for the shooting and accused Trump of having instigated violence.
“Why don’t you start with the President of the United States and every ugly meme he has posted and every ugly word. He is the leader of an insurrection and I think that when he’s posting things like he did just a couple of days ago, trying to show a whole city on fire and a reference to helicopters and in fact, throwing people our of helicopters and showing himself as some kind of big chest beating threat, then I don’t want to hear this from the Republicans,” Warren said. The alleged assassin has been taken into custody following a manhunt for the individual, FBI Director Kash Patel announced. An initial person seen being taken into custody by police was not the shooter.
Democratic Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker invoked the Capitol riot in response to the assassination. He stated that political violence has made a massive surge in the U.S., pointing to the Capitol riot as an example.
“I think there are people who are fomenting [political violence] in this country. I think the president’s rhetoric often foments it. We’ve seen the January 6th rioters who clearly have triggered a new era of political violence,” Pritzker said.
While Kirk was in the hospital, MSNBC host Katy Tur labeled Kirk as a “divisive” and “polarizing” figure given his connection to the MAGA movement. MSNBC political analyst Matthew Dowd suggested that Kirk’s rhetoric and so-called “hate speech” made him a natural target for political violence.
