Trump Responds To Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce Announcement

President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he wishes pop singer Taylor Swift and National Football League (NFL) player Travis Kelce “a lot of luck” regarding their engagement.
Swift announced the big news on social media on Tuesday and posted several engagement photos of the couple in a garden. Setting politics aside, Trump told Daily Caller White House correspondent Reagan Reese that Kelce is a “great player,” and added that Swift is a “terrific person.”
“I wish them a lot of luck,” Trump said during his cabinet meeting. “I think he’s a great player. I think he’s a great guy and I think that she’s a terrific person. So I wish them a lot of luck.” (RELATED: After Watching James Comey Confess His Love For T-Swift, It’s Hard To Believe He Was Ever Taken Seriously)

Trump has repeatedly taken aim at Swift on Truth Social, particularly after she endorsed former Vice President Kamala Harris ahead of the 2024 election. In response to Swift’s endorsement, Trump wrote on Truth Social, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”
The president also mocked Swift after she got booed during the Super Bowl in February.
“The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!” Trump wrote.
Trump further stated that Swift is “no longer hot” because she became “woke.” In the same post, he complimented actress Sydney Sweeney who had been baselessly accused of advocating for eugenics in an American Eagle jeans ad.
