Hot damn! How did he stay on his feet?!

Cole Paplham, a pitcher for the San Diego Padres, got absolutely hammered with a 102-mph line drive straight to the head during Sunday’s spring training game taking on the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The scene went down in the eighth inning when Paplham was pitching to Los Angeles infielder Aaron Bracho, who was facing a 2-0 count. When Bracho swung at the ball, he launched it right to Paplham and it popped him directly in the head. At first, Paplham was able to stay on his feet, but eventually went down and stayed down for a few minutes. Ultimately, he was able to walk to a golf cart and taken off the field.

Since 2023, Paplham has been in San Diego‘s minor league system. Playing college baseball at the University of New Orleans, Paplham went on to play for the Mahoning Valley Scrappers in the MLB Draft League, also moving around in Single-A and Double-A minor league baseball.

Miller is currently in concussion protocol and recovering from the knock.
