Alex Rodriguez Lands $10,000 For Bucknell Student After Hitting Incredible Half-Court Shot

A-Rod truly is a golden boy!
MLB legend Alex Rodriguez showed Sunday that he’s not just talented in baseball, he’s also got some game when it comes to basketball as well. And he did it in such glorious fashion, hitting a half-court shot to land a Bucknell student a smooth $10,000. Rodriguez received an invitation to take the halftime shot of the basketball game between Bucknell and Army, a contest won by the Bison in an 84-53 decision. A-Rod launched a shot that was high-arching and saw it bank off the backboard to go right into the net, leading to an outright roar from Bucknell students.
The 14-time All-Star was present at Bucknell to talk about his brand Jump Platforms, with the company’s co-founders Marc Lore and Jordy Leiser being graduates of the school. Leiser is also a trustee.

I’ve always liked Alex Rodriguez — a Miami boy, after all — and this just makes him even cooler in my eyes.
